The Rheinhafen Krefeld is on the best way to become a logistics centre for city and land. With the foundation of Hafen Krefeld GmbH & Co. KG in 2008 - in partnership with Neuss Düsseldorfer Häfen - which crowned the 2000-year history of the Rhine port, a logistics centre has gained momentum that impresses with its great locational advantages.
In 2019, more than 5.5 million tons have been handled. This means that Krefeld is now the fourth largest public inland port of NRW. "Exploit the potential! - this is the motto under which the port with its ultramodern trimodal container terminal and its own railroad company and railroad workshop are pulling in the same direction.

Der Hafen ist in zentraler Lage des deutschen und europäischen Fernstraßennetzes mit direkter Anbindung zur A57/A44 und den Bundenstraßen B228/ B57.
Das Hochgeschwindigkeitsnetz verbindet Krefeld mit deutschen und europäischen Städten. Der Hafen hat ca. 50 Kilometer eigene Gleise.
